Für eine bestmögliche Reparatur eines Kombiinstrumentes bei einem VW T3 reicht es leider nicht mehr aus, einfach nur ein paar Drähte oder Bahnen zu erneuern. Denn meistens ist die Folie schon stark beschädigt und mehrfach gerissen, so dass eine vernünftige Reparatur nicht mehr möglich ist.

Hier hilft dann meistens nur ein kompletter Austausch der Folie. Leider sind diese nicht mehr neu zu bekommen und das, was gebraucht zu bekommen ist, ist ja auch schon mindestens 30 Jahre alt.

Auch gibt es verschiedenste Versionen der Folie. Mit oder ohne Analoguhr oder sogar mit digitaler Uhr. Für Diesel oder Benziner (WBX oder LBX).

Auch ohne löten ist es nun möglich, die Tachofolie gegen eine Tachoplatine zu tauschen, da jedes Bauteil auf der Platine vorgefertigt ist.

Trotzdem ist dies immer noch ein Bausatz und für den Einbau benötigt man technisches Verständnis.
